FORENSIC DIVISION OF SOCIAL SERVICE Provides and addresses the following therapeutic supportive interventions: Criminal and civil cases that deals directly with psychotic, predatory behaviors within individuals recently released from a correctional setting. Includes termination of parental rights in cases of violence against children and evidence of domestic violence. They fight against oppression that is exhibited through exploitation, marginalization, powerlessness, violence, criminalization, and cultural dominance or imperialism. The handling of child custody, juvenile arrest, and child maltreatment, elder abuse, divorce, civil disputes and criminal offending and imprisonment. The wide reach of the field of forensic social work touches the fields of healthcare, education, and immigration. Crisis counseling, depression management, conflict resolution, anxiety, bipolar, (OCD) ELDERCARE DIVISION OF SOCIAL SERVICE Provides and addresses the following therapeutic supportive interventions: Bio-psychosocial philosophy in treatment of varying emotional disorders. Therapeutic assessment on developmental trauma. Evaluations on trauma impacted patients cognitive functioning. Treating of patients with emotional and mood disorders. Addresses geriatric mental health, direct and secondary trauma. Women’s health, crisis management. Bipolar. Schizophrenia. Dissociative disorder. Borderline personality. MARRIAGE & FAMILY DIVISION AND INTERVENTION The Behavioral Health department MFT clinician treat individuals, couples, groups, and families. During treatment with an MFT, the therapist will focus on understanding the patients’ symptoms and diagnoses within interactions and relationships. Family therapy is a preferred method of treatment for depression, alcoholism, relational discord problems, and child/adolescent-parental challenges including suicide and high-risk behavior. Family therapy outcomes for severe mental illness include improved well-being, fewer medical illnesses, decreased medical care utilization, and increased self-efficacy. At Doral Health & Wellness Bariatric Center, our procedures are performed in a laparoscopic or minimally invasive manner unless the patient is not a suitable candidate due to a medical condition or previous abdominal surgery in the area. Bariatric / Metabolic Surgery Options Providers at our Bariatric Center perform four major, proven bariatric surgeries: Gastric Sleeve Currently the most popular bariatric procedure, the gastric sleeve is a straightforward procedure that removes 70% of the stomach. Patients may lose up to 25-30% of their body weight and do not require any alteration to the small intestine or a medical device implanted in the abdomen.  Gastric Banding The least invasive of the procedures we offer, the gastric band is placed around the top of the stomach and tightened to form two interconnected gastric pouches. The resultant restriction allows patients to lose up to 20-25% of their body weight. Gastric Bypass The most complex and effective of our bariatric procedures, the gastric bypass cuts away but does not remove about 80% of the existing stomach leaving behind a small stomach pouch and bypassing a portion of the small intestine. This combination allows patients to lose up to 25-35% of their body weight.  Mini Gastric Bypass (MGB) Single Anastomosis or Omega Loop gastric bypass.
